TOURNAMENT DETAILS:
Register today for the 1st Annual VOLLEYBALLOOZA tournament! Get in the sand in either the men’s or coed divisions! Guaranteed some major playing time along with grilling out, music, first/second prizes, and the opportunity to be crowned VOLLEYBALLOOZA champion of 2012!.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:
  • Each team is guaranteed 4 games
  • Prizes for 1st & 2nd place teams

FEES:
$60/team of 3 (Early Bird ends August 25th)
$75/team of 3 after August 25th

Payments can be made online during registration or by mailing cash/check to Red Rocks Church (18301 W. Colfax Ave. Bldg P. Golden, CO 80401)
*FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE TOURNAMENT START DATE. IF NO PAYMENT IS RECEIVED BY THIS TIME, YOUR SPOT WILL OPEN UP TO OTHER TEAMS . REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN AFTER 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE TOURNAMENT START DATE.

AGE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 18 years or older to participate.

PLAYER WAIVER & RELEASE FORM
Before any player can participate in any Red Rocks Sports league or activity, he/she must submit a liability waiver during online registration.

FORMAT/RULES

Rules
  • Let serves are legal
  • No Open hand tipping
  • Setting Over – shoulders must be square to the net otherwise it’s a fault
  • Foot Digs are permitted
  • Blocks are NOT counted as a team hit
  • Blocking a serve is NOT permitted
  • Hands must not reach over the net while ball is still in play on opponents side. Hands must be straight up or just above the net in order for you to play it.
  • When digging a hard-driven spike it can be double-hit and momentarily lifted. Open hand digs
    are okay.
  • Teams are allowed one (1) minute timeout per game
  • You cannot set the ball on a serve. You may pass the ball with your hands above your head, but your hands must be touching each other.

Scoring

All games will be rally scoring
  • every team will play two games to 21 against each team in their pool

Playoffs
  • playoffs would be best of three, first 2 games (21) third game (15)

Playoff Info and Format

Top teams from each pool will advance to playoffs
  • Seeding will be determined by total wins and/or points.
  • Remaining teams in each pool will NOT advance to the playoffs.


Captains

Captains are responsible for conveying the rules to teammates before games begin as well as writing
down the scores of each game immediately after the match.
